Thinking Allowed

After our visit to Asian Hospital, I’d like you to spend a few minutes thinking about what you experienced there.

• What did you learn from the trip?
• Was there something particular that one of the health professionals said that struck a chord?
• Did it reinforce the material we had covered in class?
• What suprised or impressed you?
• Did you learn anything about yourself on the trip?

Next lesson we’ll be learning about the basic structure of DNA, and then we’ll extract some from strawberries.  This is a link to a video we’ll watch in class that describes how to perform this experiment.

Good news – there will be no full lab report to write up.  The only thing that you will need to submit is a detailed method written in step format.  You may use your camera to snap pictures of the different stages to help you remember the process if you like.
